Drum lessons have never been this much fun! Drum students play on a full drum set, a variety of percussion instruments, play along with a full PA system and have plenty of room to move. Our drum students lessons are always rockin’! Drum students study music from rock to metal, jazz to funk, blues and more, our drum teachers are well versed in all of the most popular drum styles! Drum students will learn how to read drum music, learn technical exercises and of course, play along with their favorite music! Many of our drum students play in local bands and in their churches.
Our drum set uses ‘silent’ drum heads to keep our students from getting ear damage! Silent drum heads play just like real drum heads, but produce sound at very low levels. These silent drum heads make parents very happy, as student can practice at home without giving everyone in the house a headache!
Drum students do not need to purchase a drum set to get started! All that is needed to get started is a drum pad! A drum pad is a small round dinner-plate sized pad that rebounds the drum sticks when hit, just like a real drum head. Students use our drum set at their lessons and do not have to bring anything except their drum sticks and a notebook. Lessons are available 7 days a week:
Monday-Friday from 11:00am – 8:30pm
Saturdays from 9:00am – 4:00pm
Sundays from 1:00pm – 6:00pm

When you enroll here for drum lessons, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child. Together, you will develop a plan to achieve your goals! We love beginners, so even if you don’t know where to begin, we can help!

We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues and classical. We combine the important fundamentals with the music YOU want to play. With plenty of teachers at the Harrison School of Music you are sure to find the best match for YOU.

Our instructors are highly qualified, all have teaching experience, and most importantly, they have a passion for teaching. Being a musician doesn’t automatically make you a teacher–that’s why we search for those who are best qualified for mentoring our music students!

Our teachers have received their education from prestigious institutions such as New York University, Indiana University, Berklee College of Music, University of North Texas, Manhattan School of Music, University of Miami, Juilliard, SUNY Purchase and more! Many of our instructors have gone on performance tours of the US and Europe. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and strive to get to know each student and their parents on a personal level.
